• Jean strongly opposed the airport legislation that abandoned the dual-track airport planning process and mandated expansion of the airport at its current site. Even with a new runway, Minnesotans will experience excessive flight delays, high monopoly-type fares, a lack of cargo capacity and a serious inability to grow our economy. Airport neighbors will continue to be overburdened with noise and declining air quality.
• Jean continues to push the MAC to meet its commitments for noise insulation.
• The Pollution Control Agency install air-monitoring equipment at the airport at Jean's insistence.
