There are always many volunteer opportunities in a legislative campaign. You know best what you like to do and your help will be greatly appreciated.

Jean wants you to know about one opportunity in particular. Even though she has been reelected ten times, Jean doorknocks her district each election. Jean believes it is important to give voters an opportunity to talk to a candidate each time the candidate is up for reelection. Jean also believes doorknocking is an opportunity for the candidate to become aware of emerging issues, issues that people are only beginning to think about but have not yet reached the level of public discussion.

Equally important, Jean has gotten some of her best legislative ideas while doorknocking. She developed her all day kindergarten legislation while she was talking with the parents that she saw while doorknocking.

Jean would like you to doorknock with her. She particularly likes to go out with volunteers who live in the neighborhood in which she is doorknocking.

Jean also doorknocks in legislative districts that have strong DFL candidates, but not enough volunteers needed to win a strongly contested seat.
